Farsi/Persian keyboard supplier?

This can't be a new unheard-of-before question, but can someone guide me to a Farsi/Persian keyboard (physical) if such exists?

Does such exist?

AFAIK, there are no bilingually-printed English Persian (Farsi) keyboards available otherwise in the US.

I understand that Persian alphabet stick-on labels are available for sticking onto individual keys of monolingual keyboards. AFAIK, there are no bilingually-printed English Persian (Farsi) keyboards available otherwise in the US.

I understand that Persian alphabet stick-on labels are available for sticking onto individual keys of monolingual keyboards. But, I recommend against that practice, instewd suggest your getting a bilingual English Arabic keyboard and then learning to type the distinctive Persian characters that will type and appear properly inside FA-eabled language suppport (do NOT use the Arabic support feature).


Probably the easiest work-around solution for a Persian English keyboard:

Buy a bilingual-printed English select & display the keyboard diagram (101- or 104-key set-up) you want => print that out.

Then, insure that your PC's OS (MS Windows 2000 or XP, with XP being the better OS, IMPO) also has installed Fari language support (which feature includes RTL keyboard drivers and a basic set of Persian-Farsi fonts). After that, invoke the "FA" language support and practice, practice, practice... that's the approach I use.

For a correct layout diagram of the Persian keyboard:

1. Go to the < www.microsoft.com > website and enter (without quotes) "Farsi keyboard" in the GUI search box.

2. Navigate the links shown until you can select & display the keyboard diagram (101- or 104-key set-up) you want => print that out.

3. Make a larger copy of that to minimize eyestrain.

4. Use that diagram as a typing guide for entering the correct keystrokes.

NOTE: Having a bilingual keyboard is but half the process. The other major step is installing Persian (Farsi) RTL language support (including RTL drivers and a basic set of TTF fonts) in your PC or laptop.

Insure that your PC's OS (MS Windows 2000 or XP, with XP being the better OS, IMPO) has installed Farsi language support (which feature includes RTL keyboard drivers and a basic set of Persian-Farsi fonts).

Do NOT use Arabic language support for into-Persian word-processing, as the features in Arabic support will not recognize or mangle/give incorrect renditions of the distinctive Persian characters "peh, gheh, veh, feh, cheh, zhe."

For into-Persian word-processing, invoke the "FA" language support in your PC and then practice, practice, practice until you become accustomed to typing in Persian.

Business tip re delivering into-Persian product: Since some of the receiving PCs of an occasional customer will likely not have Persian language support installed inside, it's helpful to reformat Persian MS Word text into a PDF file and send that PDF instead.
