I would not, simply because there is no such a need.
When I mentioned the issue of people translating from their second to their third languages or vice versa, I was just trying to provide a possible scenario out of your story.

Really? In one of your previous posts, you mentioned that your client asked you to assess translation tests, didn't you? Isn't that something the customer uses to "judge them?"

They are stealing us job taking advantage of the fact that the agencies are not able to distinguish whether they are truly Italian, offering a very poor quality service.
Let them do their worst. When clients wake up to the fact that they are being given very bad translations, they will return to properly vetted mother-tongue translators
