Polish term

Pisarze pustych kieszeni

Polish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
"Pisarze pustych kieszeni" - jest to tytuł krótkiej notatki o panelu na temat literatury niepokornej.

"Pisarze pustych kieszeni
Panel o literaturze niepokornej i micie poety/pisarza żebraka."

Ja przetłumaczyłam (nie wiem czy słusznie) :
"Empty pockets’ writers
The panel on rebelious literature and a poet/writer beggar myth. "

And what about 'the literature of defiance'? Isn't defiance more like arogant?

the down-and-out writer // the empty-pocketed writer

Personally, I'd go for the first (shades of George Orwell !! ).

Also, may I suggest 'the myth of the poet/writer as beggar' ?

If I may? The writers can indeed be 'rebellious', but for something as formal as a panel, 'the literature of rebellion' might be more suitable? (rebelLious/rebelLion)

Nothing to be ashamed of!!! My pleasure :-)

agree Przemysław Szkodziński : I'd go for the "myth of the poet/writer as beggar", too.
