Otherwise it would have to be 16/24 Uhr. 16/24 hours could mean that the restaurant/bar opens at 7 a.m. and shuts at 11 p.m. (thus 16 hours) and room service is available all day and night long.

I don't disagree with the first answer (16/24) - it's just that it looks odd in English. Would people really write it like that? Do correct me if I'm wrong.

: That's my interpetation - 16 out of 24 hours. But Ingo may have a point, too, re room service.
