Zur Bestreitung des Lebensunterhaltes wird für jeden Mitareiter pro Kalendertag die Abwesenheit von unserem Werk oder Niederlassung eine *Auflösung* berechnet.
I found "reversal/release/redemption" in the glossaries, but am not sure which of these if any - are the right terms here - or what the sentence means,. Could it be that the employer makes a 'withdrawal' (Langenscheidt) for each day's absence of work as a quid pro quo for the client's payment for the employee's services ?

accommodation/subsistence allowance
I suspect the author was referring to "AuSlöse" or "AuSlösung" here.
See previous KudoZ example at http://www.proz.com/kudoz/556979 and (no longer retrievable) glossary entry appearing after a German<>English (bidirectional) search for "Auslösung":
subsistence allowance (hotel, food, etc.) - Auslösung (Unterhalt v. Personal)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "I agree with your deduction that it is meant to be Auslösung (which LEO includes, inter alia, as a daily allowance.)"

German term (edited):
Auflösung
liquidated amount
They are trying to be chique in their diction; but what I believe they mean to say is that the employee obtains a fixed, liquidated, amount for each day of absence. --> Dietl, Auflösung. Also, n.b.: If it were a 'withdrawal', then the verb would be 'ver'rechnet, not 'be'rechnet.
