Comment: "my final solution was: "The last stop is an open but roofed post-decomposition shed", taking David's suggestion to avoid using "station" twice and using "shed" which still appears for "Halle" in some dictionaries. a shed doesn't have to be as small as a Schuppen, Elisabeth."

I would certainly avoid using the word "station" myself, as I think this refers generally to a complete facility.
