German term
schute
German to English
Marketing
Cosmetics, Beauty
The term comes up in a makeup add in connection with a cover stick adn also with a cover cream. Unfortunately there is no other helpful context. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the way the makeup is dispensed? I would also be grateful if anyone can confirm whether VPE refers to 'pack contents'.

A Schute is a kind of boat or ship, also called a "Leichter". However, it may also be a packaging-specific term (maybe like "tray").
VPE is Verpackungseinheit, i.e. packaging unit, afaik.

Comment: "Thank you very much for your interest and kindness in responding. In the end the client decided to omit the reference to Schute - even the people in Germany had no idea as to what it could mean. Tray was quite helpful as I had only heard of the word Schute in connection with barge, but this appears to be a sort of outer container for the makeup, a sort of sheath, with the makeup itself contained in another container. I can't guess what sort of word we might use in English - sheath has unfortunate connotations, after all."

Could it be a typo for Schutz?
VPE has been explained already.
I've never heard Schute for tray (also can't find any references)

Gemeint ist also Folgendes: Das Produkt befindet sich nicht nur in einer Tube, sondern diese steckt selbst noch in einer Umverpackung (einer kleinen Schachtel).
Any suggestions?
