As far as I understand it, this copmposition does contain blood.

Meat extract 2
Yeast extract 5
Sodium chloride 5
Glucose 2
L-Cysteine hydrochloride 0.3
Agar 12
Directions
Suspend 36.3 g in 1 l distilled water and heat until completely dissolved. Autoclave for 15 minutes at 121°C and cool down to 45-50°C. Add 5 mg hemin and 10 mg vitamin K1. Add 5-10 % defibrinated sheep or horse blood to the cooled base medium, mix carefully and pour plates.
