Bei der Fahrt zur Abstellposition wird die Palette 2 mithilfe von zusätzlichen Zwischenzielen umfahren.

Die Abstellposition wird direkt und ohne Zwischenziele angefahren.

Die Produkte werden im Automatikbetrieb einzeln aufgenommen und zur Abstellposition transportiert.

Die nachfolgenden Bewegungen zwischen der Abholposition und einer der beiden Abstellpositionen sind je nach Produkttyp wie folgt definiert:

Für die Strecke zwischen der Abhol- und der Abstellposition werden 2 Übergangspositionen definiert.

Für das Verfahren der Kinematik zwischen der Abhol- und der Abstellposition werden 3 Bewegungsanweisungen verwendet.

Die 3 Bewegungsanweisungen werden jeweils für die Fahrt zur Abstellposition als auch für die Rückfahrt zur Warteposition über die Auftragskette ausgeführt.

Warehouse yes, my thoughts, too. But if it's storage location, then it is not for further delivery, but for storage. If it is part of a process, the product on its way out, it could also be distribution point.

Hello Ramey First off, thanks! Second, we must be talking about a bin unless Kieran tells us this is about a drop-off point (an idea based on your suggestion):
"When an item is sold a radio signal is sent to a warehouse runner who goes to the bin (shelf) where the item is stored. He scans the bin and the item’s FNSKU and puts it in a cart. After collecting several items he takes the cart to a drop-off point and picks up an empty one and starts again."

I also think Ramey's delivery point works. I'd prefer final/storage "location" to destination, though; in the context of business software, a destination often implies a longer delivery/shipping route (by using a truck, etc.).

I assume this is about warehouse operations.

Hi Björn! I couldn't resist as the opportunity arose. You're so cute and often spot on. The frequency of delivery in the text below, confirms my suspicion that we're talking about delivery points or destinations. Storage also came to mind.

Considering the last sentence of this question, I'd say that parking position isn't ideal. Abstellposition is where you put the goods, as you pointed out. Similar to page 57 of this document:

Also, an Abstellposition could be some temporary storage.

I used to translate MS business software, and storage bin is the first thing that comes to mind:

Well, that's easy the pick up position is the Abholposition, the parking position the Abstellposition.
Abholen - pick up, fetch
Abstellen - set, place, put, and, in this context, park or deliver

Ramey, I am assuming they are referring to the position where they "set down" the product, but am unsure about what this is actually called, e.g. the "parking position" in contrast to the "pick-up" position

Björn will soon turn up and smash this suggestion to bits, with endless proof and references in German. If the robot is delivering something from point A to point B, then delivery point or destination. If the machine itself is parked, then, obviously, parking position or destination or sleep/sleeping position.
Also possible would be storage/storage position

Hi Phil. Drop point is good, too. Sleeping probably shows my age, it was/is the term for storing robots or charging them between shifts. I am still not sure if the term Abstellposition refers to the robot itself or the goods it transports.
