French term or phrase: Couverture propulsion
Hello all,
I'm translating a used car warranty, and am not sure about "propulsion" in the following. Would this be "rear wheel drive?

Explanation:
I think it would be rather odd from the apparent context if this were to propose cover for rear-wheel-drive cars only — unless of course you also have one for 'traction'!

I think here 'propulsion' simply has its original meang of 'that which makes it move' — i.e. the entire drive chain: engine-to-wheels. So this might exclude things like glass, bodywork, lights, door hinges, etc.

Actually, Asker, I think I made a mistake; do check with your own research, but I think the term in the car industry is more likely 'drive train' — apologies for any confusion caused!

Note to that 'drive train' may OR MAY NOT include the engine; so it might be worth specifying something like 'engine + drive train' etc.
