This is a director's proposal for an ad. It's a 500-word description of approach, scenes, shots. It's an arty series of montages in slow motion. The last line of his pitch is "La fusion communicationnelle". I'd be grateful for ideas.
And If you're going to suggest "communication fusion", please explain what that would mean in plain English :-)

This is just a suggestion among many.
In my view, having read the discussion, the IT meaning of the expression has probably been dismissed a bit quickly. The technological meaning designates information from different sources coming together into a single source.
In the ad, as I understand it, different people (not just Mum) communicate with the baby via the technological intervention of a plastic bottle and teat filled with X baby milk. Technology creates the poetry of bonding with the added plus of multiplicity (fusion is not just mother-child, but an open option). Different images fuse to put across a single message: communication flows.
So ideally, it seems to me, a good translation would be a technological term which is also arty/poetic, and gets across the idea of seamless communication, bonding, latching on (oh dear), communicating vessels and the like.
After all that you would think I could have come up with something better...

Thank you for the points. Actually I am not a huge fan of infant formula (particularly if made by Nestle?) so my answer was a little tongue in cheek. From the translation point of view, I would either have kept an IT term or gone for a verbal phrase - I like "synergy", below...

Comment: "Susan, I've awarded you the points because you've tuned into it perfectly (although I don't think 'communication flow' sufficiently conveys the notion of success). In the ad, the fusion of people mum/dad/baby is expressed within a fusion of cinematic styles (slow motion, '40s cinematographic, fadeouis, narratives). If anything, this highlights the untranslatability of some ideas. "Fusion communicationelle" makes perfect immediate sense in French but is pretty-much untranslatable in English. Or so I think! This should give us all hope in an increasingly standardising world all too ready to expunge problematic sentiments and ideas. Thanks :-)"

How about "total conecpt transfer" - meaning complete transfer of a concept or an idea of something from one mind to another, from artist to viewer, from author to reader...something like that

The goal of this work is to underline the continuities and breaks that digital technology brings to the relation between pictures and sounds. From the mutual influence of graphic and sound arts on painting to the hypermedia today, we can easily trace an ever-stronger convergent momentum between these two media.
