Discussion

Kate Hudson (X) Oct 22, 2006:
How about 'work area'? Presumably these are shunters and such like and the safety rules would apply generally to the shunting yard, and these, I know from a colleague of my husband who specialises in railway safety, are very specific to the yard
Andre de Vries (asker) Oct 22, 2006:
concerns railway tracks De werfvoertuigen worden bestuurd door bevoegd personeel dat de veiligheidsregels naleeft die specifiek zijn voor een werkpost.

I don't know about work post ?
Kate Hudson (X) Oct 22, 2006:
Can you provide us with the sentence in which this word occurs? It can mean computer, workstation or work post depending on the context.

how about this general suggestion? 'Werkpost' in Flemish is just a general term meaning 'the place where you work'.

Maybe you can specify it slightly by using 'that are specific for a work place like this one' in your translation.
Note from asker:
I think it has a more specific meaning , because they talk about "werfzone" and "werf" and there are evidently a lot of "werkposten" - but you may be right
