Verify all valve positions and IOES
Ensure all tools in place including tools required as a contingency to job not going smoothly, e.g., flanges not lining up, pins/bars required, come-alongs
Consideration for properly disposal of drained material and washing liquid
Ensure compliance with other applicable procedures
Consider other equipment or sources of flammables/combustibles which may increase the flammables in the area
Agree upon predetermined actions to be taken during plant or site alarm
Give consideration to ambient temperatures (cool of night vs. heat of day)
Develop and review Pre Task Analysis
Minimize pressure in the equipment on both sides of isolation valves.
Wash equipment with water
Establish communication systems, among the work group and to others in the area.
*Alarm box near-by* and will be communicated on Safe work permit.
Clean equipment with steam
Use line stopples to minimize length/area of flammable pipe
Agree on plan to cancel job under certain conditions (everyone involved must know they have to stop the job in case of deviations) Consider whether the remainder of the process needs to be shut down
