a leather jacket with a screen printed motif has a "Care label" which, apart from suggesting cleaning by a leather specialist only, refers to the fact that the screen printed transfer could rub off if rubbed too vigorously, hence "artistic motif"

In Dutch, the word 'print' is commonly used to indicate pictures on clothing. 'Artistiek motief' may be a translation as well, although the word 'motief' should imply more elaboration on the subject it depicts, as in 'the motif of an opera', where a subject will be depicted from different angles throughout the work...
