I wonder if someone could help me with the interpretation of the following sentence from Scottish civil law: "No agreement exists between the parties prorogating jurisdiction over the subject matter of the present cause to any other Court".
This sentence is from a case in the Court of Session in Scotland and an earlier sentence in this paragraph was: "In terms of the Agreement the parties agreed to prorogate the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts. This Court (the Court of Session) accordingly has jurisdiction. There are no other proceedings pending before any other Court involving the present cause of action and between the parties hereto". and this is followed by the sentence above.

I just looked it up in NL rechtsbegrippen vertaald and via the German translation (Zuständigkeitsvereinbarung) I've come to the conclusion that in this context it means that only the Scottish courts are bevoegd according to this agreement.
