Waarschijnlijk als gevolg van dubbele verzekering. Indemnity kan schadeloosstelling of schadevergoeding betekenen, maar in sommige gevallen ook vrijwaring. Als je meer context hebt, kun je een keuze maken. Co-ordinate verwijst naar het naast elkaar bestaan van de dekking. Zie een voorbeeld hiervan in de volgende zin (hier gaat het om de gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid van de verzekeraars): "persons who are under co-ordinate liabilities to make good the loss ... must share the burden pro rata".
