Catalan to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)

I am not sure what we call this, or even really what it is. Is this when you send a request for payment directly to somone's bank that may have been pre-approved? I know some of my clients bill like this, but I have no idea what it is called or if that is what they are referring to here.
