Catalan term

pelaires

Catalan to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
I think this would be the 1682 equivalent of a wool factory. One definition I found was "cardadero de paños", so, where wool is carded?

If they weren't doing the work themselves, I guess they were running the business (not slave-owners!).
Note from asker:
I see, the family was in the wool and aguadiente business. Got it. I though it was saying they OWNED a pelaire.
