Hello!
I'm having trouble with 'de parte ni de otra'. I don't know if I'm parsing it wrongly, there's a typo or something missing. I would appreciate your help. Chilean Spanish into UK English
CLAUSE [number] ENTRADA EN VIGENCIA DEL CONTRATO
Firma del Certificado End User por [party of the first part] y [party of the second part] en una forma aceptable para las Autoridades [of a European country].

This is what I understand it to mean: "sin efecto (ni) de (una) parte ni de otra.

Hi Helena. I think they're just using it as an ordinary expression, "ni de una parte ni de otra", meaning "on (n)either side". If you prefer, you could avoid the word "party", though I think it's the natural way to express it here.

To me, "de parte ni de otra" implies that there are two "partes". I don't think it can refer to parts of the agreement.

Note from asker:
Hi, Charles! That occurred to me too, though throughout the document 'Partes' is always written with a capital 'P'. |
I really don't know. I also thought of 'render null and void this part or another part (of the agreement). I don't have to deliver the translation until Monday morning, so hopefully something will occur to me before then. |

: "ni de una parte ni de otra" - That's the way I read it too. I don't think it can refer to "parts of the agreement". I don't see how could it be otherwise.

Comment: "Before posting my question here, I had sent a message to my daughter. Her words, 'Parte A y parte B firman un contrato. Thank you, Charles, for your much appreciated help!"

Note from asker:
Thank you, David. It's just a short clause that forms part of a 14,000-word agreement. Both your and Charles' suggestions occurred to me - I just need to choose the right one! |
David, thank you for your help! |

: I follow your rationale, but I don't think the Spanish would express it like that, if that was the meaning intended. (I am not an expert, and that's just my opinion, but that's how I perceive it.)
