3. I make this statement in response to Mr XXX’s claim for a declaration that recognition and enforcement of the

civil limb of the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Aix en Provence dated 26 March 2013 (“the 2013 Judgment”) is

manifestly contrary to public policy in England, pursuant to Article 34(1) of EC Regulation 44/2001 of 22 December

2000 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters.
