This is the third session in this 10-part course taught by Suzanne E. Deliscar, Lawyer-Linguist, as the first step in understanding family law terminology. It is designed for translators who are beginning to work in the legal translation specialty. At the end of this course attendees will have increased knowledge with regard to legal structures and specific family law terminology found in various legal documents.

Are you interested in creating or expanding your repertoire of family law terminology? If so, this session is for you. “An International Overview – Family Law Terminology” is the third session in this 5-part course taught by Suzanne E. Deliscar, Lawyer-Linguist, as the first step in understanding family law terminology. The second series (5 parts also) will take place in November 2015.

This course is approved for one (1) Continuing Education point by the American Translators Association (“ATA”) and the Dutch Bureau BTV.

Target Audience: Translators who want to start working in the legal translation field.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this course attendees will have increased knowledge with regard to legal structures and specific family law terminology found in various legal documents.

Cost: 50 EUR per session.
Prerequisites: None.

This course includes reference material.
