Call for the European Parliament Slovenian to English

Good morning!

We are considering applying for the currently open call for translations for the European Parliament. The tender foresees a test translation, which will take place on Monday, 17 June 2024, from 10:00 to 11:15. The test will be carried out in an online tool, via a browser.

The text for the test is not specific to the European Parliament, it will be a general text on the field of activity of the European Union of around 250 words (e.g. news on the adoption of new rules for the protection of personal data), so specific knowledge of translating texts for the European Parliament is not necessary.
It is however important that the text is well translated.
In our opinion, this is a test that can be done by any quality translator.
At the beginning of June, we will organize an online meeting where we will discuss in detail the instructions and tips for the test.

We are prepared to pay a fixed fee for participation in the test, plus a bonus for passing the test.

- Are you willing to participate in the test;

- Whether you would also be interested in working on a project, in case we are successful at the call for proposals (many pages are expected
throughout the year and a regular workflow);

- What is your best rate per translation for a 250-word page (please note that we need to be very competitive);

-Your education and experience.

Please note that this call is open to one applicant only, therefore translators who applied with another agency will be automatically removed.
