I am a native speaker of Portuguese and I hold a Cambridge Proficiency C2 grade A Certificate (1989)  with an additional qualification in translation, a Proficiency C2 Translation Certificate(Portuguese<>English), Grade B (1989). 

I also completed a 3-semester training course in simultaneous and consecutive translation (1997) given by a translation agency in Brasília.

I have been an English teacher for most of my life. 

I am currently attending 2 translation degrees at Faculdade Phorte in São Paulo: a bachelor’s degree in translation (2024-2026) and a postgraduate diploma in translation (Mar 2024- May 2025). 

I also have a degree in Marketing and postgraduate diplomas in Neuromarketing, Educational Psychology and Neuropsychopedagogy.

I am currently attending a degree in Digital Marketing, to further extend my knowledge in the field of Marketing. (Uninter 2024-2025)

I am currently attending the third year of a bachelor's degree in Psychoanalysis.(Uninter 2022-2025) I have already finished 1.500 hours of this degree.(The full degree is 3.200 hours) I can provide the transcript. I am planning to specialize in translations related to psychology, marketing, neuromarketing and education. The study of Psychoanalysis gives me a deeper understanding of consumer behavior.

I also have a background in German(ZDF B1, Goethe Institut, 1991) and French(Certificat Pratique de Langue Française 1er degré, CEFR C1, Univeristé de Nancy II, 1988).

Cambridge Proficiency C2 Translation Certificate

(Portuguese<>English), Grade B (1989)

This certificate was an additional, optional part of the Cambridge C2 Proficiency exam. It awarded an additional Certificate in Translation from and into Portuguese. It involved translating C2 level texts without recourse to dictionaries. The exam was offered for different languages each year, encompassing all the main languages in the world, but due to a lack of candidates taking the exam, the qualification was discontinued by Cambridge University several years ago.

The combination of Complementação Pedagógica and Cambridge C2 Proficiency was recognized by the Ministry of Education in Brazil as an English teaching qualification for primary and secondary schools. My certificate for this teaching qualification was issued by the Ministry of Education.
