Bio
The story of my passion for languages begins in a small Italian town at the age of 11, when I finish for the first time a videogame in English, Paper Mario 64. From that moment I have never stopped being curious about languages, especially English.
My enrollment at the university of Trieste marks the beginning of another of my main passions: subtitling. This leads me to writing my dissertation starting from the translation of the subtitles of a film from Spanish into Italian.
Another interest of mine is teaching and working with kids. In my late teens, I worked every year at a summer camp in my hometown with kids aged 8 to 13. When I was going to uni on the other hand, I tried my hand at teaching English part-time, especially between 2020 and 2022. While I taught mainly kids in the same age range as the summer camp, in 2022 I also had a class of adults.
Apart from the three I already listed, other secondary interests of mine include gardening, cooking and mental health topics, with a focus on disability, inclusion and spreading awareness.
To this day I have a BA in Translation and Interpreting; I have completed the course "Introduction to Game Localization" on Udemy; I am a member of the TED Translators volunteer program, for which I subtitle TED Talks, both in the original language and translated; and I'm a localizer for TESR: Skywind, a renewal project for the videogame The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind.
