Czech to English: a letter of complaint General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Construction / Civil Engineering
Nakonec jste požadovali vzorky poškozené a nepoškozené krytiny. XXX přijel a demontoval 2 ks krytiny – jakým způsobem vidíte na foto č. 2. Kotvení nových ks krytiny uvidíte na obr. 3.
S pozdravem,
Translation - English Dear Mr XXX,
I appeal to you in this letter to evaluate our complaint and the approach to this matter on the part of XXX representatives.
First, let me briefly introduce myself. I have been working in sales of roofing material for more than 15 years now. I have spent most of my carrier (11 years) in the company XXX as the product manager and director of the branch office in XXX.
It was there where I learnt about the roofing material XXX, sold by our company XXX. The roof covering appeared to me as one of the best and one of the highest quality on the market. As a result, I chose the covering XXX for my summerhouse, gazebo and woodshed. I also recommended the covering to my friends, who took me for an expert in this field, and used the covering on their houses.
My current position is the sales manager in XXX – a sales company specialised in roofing materials, especially metal roofing and tinsmith components. We have 12 branches in the Czech Republic.
Last year, my roof started to show a colour difference in some of the templates – see photo no. 1. This year, I was dealing with this issue with XXX. I sent the photo-documentation and was assured that this was a clear complaint and that you were aware of the issue. As a result, you required samples of both damaged and undamaged covering. XXX came to dismantle them as two separate pieces – you see the way how it was done in photo no. 2. The anchoring of new covering pieces can be seen in photo no. 3. I was told that this was a temporary provision because the whole roof was to be replaced. The two missing pieces of covering were added by myself from the remains I had been keeping as an extra material. Therefore, I became dismayed to see that my complaint had been rejected, signifying that everything is all right and that an XXX covering may look like this after 5 years.
In this case I have no reason to offer and support sales of the covering XXX in our company XXX. I was truly convinced that XXX is a guarantee of quality but my own personal experience tells me otherwise. For the last two years, your colleagues have been trying to promote XXX products sales in our company. Our people have already been trained, our points of sales have received samples but in the light of my own personal experience, I have no reason to continue in our cooperation.
Thank you for your assessment of this unpleasant situation and I believe we will come to terms to our mutual satisfaction.
Sincerely,
More
