English term

flyweight

English to Portuguese Other Mechanics / Mech Engineering
A change in either the flyweight centrifugal force (speed change) or the speeder-spring force (speed setting) moves the plunger from its centered position.

Nunca me deparei com o termo "peso mosca" em referência à força centrífuga. Seria essa a tradução mesmo? Preciso confirmar.

Discussion

Nick Taylor Apr 7, 2014:
True... prefix "fly"wheel
Mario Freitas Apr 6, 2014:
They are pesos volates, or contrapesos volantes. Fly, in this case, is "volante".
Nick Taylor Apr 5, 2014:
Andre - These are weights... ...that "fly" outwards under centrifugal force and act as a governer (clutches, distributers, etc) não tem nada a ver com peso mosca
