They showed the very same clip on the program, so that people could vote for it if they thought it was the funniest of the three finalists. And it was!

The host asked Dad what he was doing to make them laugh so, and he gave a demonstration: he made ears out of his open hands, slackened his jaw and stuck out his tongue, and said "booooooo!!!" with his lips flapping and his eyes agog. It still works!
