Of course I support organisations that are not directly related to language. Apart from the fact that all organisations use language, and many are international - you could say all organisations are language related. It is not their primary purpose, however, although on second thoughts, I translate for one, a museum, and my father translated for another - the Bible Society, which has been a pioneer in translation work ever since it began. I do support some non-language organizations but as a translator. Over the years, I have translated pro-bono for Equaily Now, Humana, Médecins du Monde, Médecins sans Frontières, Mercy Corps… | |

Avaaz, StayEuropean, CrowdJustice, occasional donations to UNICEF, Red Cross, etc. Probably a few others that don't come to mind right now. Here in Italy I've always given my optional 5x1000 tax donation (0.5% of income tax paid) to Wiki. It seems only fair, seeing how much we all seem to use it.
