My language education includes 14 years of bilingual school (Spanish-English), having obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in English, Grade A (from the University of Cambridge) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma at the British Schools in Montevideo, Uruguay. I also have a higher level degree in French (Certificat de Langue Française, 7ème année, Fin du Cycle de Perfectionnement), in German (Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom, from Goethe Institut and the Ludwig-Maximillians Universität in Munich), and speak very good Portuguese.

Besides, I hold a B. Sc. degree in Chemistry, a MA degree in Chemical Engineering (from Universidad de la República, Uruguay) and an international MBA degree from TSM Business School, University of Twente in Holland.

My work experience ranges from technical jobs in the chemical industry, through brief managerial positions in the Internet business, to 5 years as Production Manager in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, I have been working simultaneously over the last 14 years in the translation business, basically as an English-Spanish-English translator and occasionally as interpreter. My major projects include translation of numerous pharmaceutical & chemical patents and scientific works, waste disposal and landfill projects for Botnia, electrical installations specifications for Siemens, translation of manuals and consecutive interpretation during Sofware Consulting Services’ project at a leading Uruguayan newspaper, among many other.

Above all, my passion is for languages. I consider myself a reliable, self-motivated and research/detail oriented translator, always ready to deliver my best in the shortest possible times.
