Born in the USA, I grew up in Ecuador. Being the son of two linguist-translators means I picked up many of the basic principles of language at home. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and, thanks to my education, I am fully literate in both languages. I am a university graduate, with a B.A. (Equivalent to a "Licenciado" in Spanish-speaking countries.)

I have a broad background in manufacturing, including supervision; other areas of competence include religion and gardening/horticulture, especially bonsai. I have some knowledge of linguistics, geography, writing, and intercultural matters.

Transcriptions will be considered in English and/or Spanish and in any field, not just my fields of interest and special expertise. The same is true for simple proofreading, in either English or Spanish.

Translation jobs are accepted in any of my fields. Editing jobs will be accepted if I feel sufficiently competent in the vocabulary that is required.
