Hi there, as I just started to use Studio 2009 (Freelance) and am working on a text with a lot of 100% matches, I wonder where to find the very useful function "Translate to next Fuzzy" that is known from the previous Trados versions. Is it not included or am I just blind? Many thanks for any hints! Holger | | | It's in 2011... | Jul 11, 2012 |

Hi Paul, Forgive my ignorance, but is there a translate to fuzzy button in the toolbar, or does Studio 2011 do this automatically? Thank you. Chun-yi SDL Support wrote: ... but not 2009. The key combination Ctrl + Alt + F is the shortcut for confirming a segment and jumping to the next fuzzy match in Studio 2011.

Hi Chun-yi, You can do this from the menu using Translation - Confirm and Translate until Next Fuzzy Match or as mentioned already now just use the default Ctrl+Alt+F. The keyboard shortcut is customisable so you could change this as you see fit. Regards Paul | | | Holger Remke Germany Local time: 10:53 Member (2006) English to German + ... TOPIC STARTER Studio 2009: Auto-Propagate doesn't work | Jul 12, 2012 |
Hi Paul, thanks for your lovely hint. I now discovered the Auto-Propagate function. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as I expected, since 100%-matches don't appear in the rows where they should. After checking the Auto-Propagate settings, the function should work as described. Do I overlook something, e.g. do I need to update the TM or Editor anywhere so that the 100%Matches can be propagated? And what about Context Matches (CM). Does Auto-Propagate consider them... Does Auto-Propagate consider them as 100% matches or not at all? They aren't propageted neither. And I've got a lot of them. Also, when there are 100% matches, I quite often see a message in the TM-window, saying that the "results are temporarily not updated". Can this be avoided or bypassed in any way? I'd be grateful for yoou help. Thanks a lot. Holger ▲ Collapse
... drop me an email and share a file so I can see what you are expecting and then perhaps explain... or log a bug I'm not sure about the temporarily not updated message. Are you sharing a TM on a network or maybe using a seperate drive for your TM perhaps? Thank you, Jon and Paul, for telling me the keyboard combo for "Translate to the Next Fuzzy". I never realize this exists in Studio, probably because if you enable auto-propagation, Studio would automatically translate the 100% match segments for you until you hit the next non-100% match segment. In what situation would you need to use this translate to fuzzy function in Studio? After all, it's more complicated to use a three-key combo than just Ctrl+Enter to confirm the current s... I often need this when a client sends a vast document containing a lot of 100% matches. The combo doesn't seem to work, as the cursor simply jumps to the next 100% match for me to confirm, and this is really a pest. PCovs: I often need this when a client sends a vast document containing a lot of 100% matches. The combo doesn't seem to work, as the cursor simply jumps to the next 100% match for me to confirm, and this is really a pest. Is this something to do with my settings in any way? I'm upping this post, since it hasn't been answered with a solution. What can be done in this case? I'm referring to propagated 100% matches. Maybe are propagated 100% not been considered as regular 100%, but as fuzzies? Thanks for any reply.
