Italian term

Vuoi mettere?

Italian to English Bus/Financial Journalism
The author asks a rethorical question, comparing two options, one of which is obviously better than the other:
I haven't been able to find any satisfactory equivalent for this Italian idiom.

Discussion

Alexandra Speirs Dec 5, 2015:
I must say I agree with Phil. I read the sentence on the blog and immediately thought "Which would you rather have..." then scrolled down and found Phil had suggested the same!

It was hard to choose, great ideas everybody!

Impressed I'm impressed by Phil's amazing ability to guess what the context is, in detail. Margherita- please post more of your text.
Margherita Russo (asker) Dec 2, 2015:
@philipgoddard - you are right, this is the context :-)
thanks in advance to all, I'm still "speculating" and will decide soon....
Tom in London Dec 2, 2015:
Speculation There's a lot of speculation going on here about what the two options may be, but that's all it is; speculation.
philgoddard Dec 2, 2015:
Is this the context?
I would have thought "Which would you rather have".

This is a sort of colloquial use of rhetoric.
