German term

Klingenmeissel

Discussion

uyuni Aug 19, 2015:
w/ raptisi "... chiseled out" makes perfect sense in the surgical context given.
raptisi Aug 19, 2015:
"Chisel" is adequate. "The prosthesis was chiseled out", something along these lines.
TDVTrans Aug 19, 2015:
Blade chisel? I'm not a medical expert but could perhaps be as simple as that. I found an interesting discussion about this same item on Translatorscafe. http://www.translatorscafe.com/tcterms/AR/mobile/qtn.aspx?id...

Peer comment(s):

agree Jacek Konopka : It seems so although it should act. stand in 'reverse direction' (chisel blade) according to gr. rules. However, not in this case as I think. Good research.
