I'm confused by the meaning of 'abbilden lassen' in the context below. I have a number of ways of translating it: as copy, represent, map, simulate?
Any suggestions? Mac.

: It is simulating a physical maschine or respectively representing one. Not necessarily open for modelling or manipulation.

: No. Modelling is creating an artificial representation of a system so as to investigate its behaviour. This is creating software that mimics the behaviour of a piece of hardware.
