With Manuela. "Bucherers" can only be a name or it would read "Bucherern". It's not very polite to modify names and a little bit degrading, therefore the quotation marks.

I�ve got no good explanation for that. But likewise you could ask why "Nutznie�er" does also appaear in quotation marks. In a completely "normal" :-) sentence it shouldn�t. Or is it just you using the quotation marks with "Nutznie�er"?

Bucherers is the name of a family I would say and for Nutznießer I would use beneficiaries.

I was disappointed that none of the Bucherers (or nobody from the family Bucherer) and especially none of the former beneficiares, who knew her very well, came to pay their last respects.

The "Bucherers" are members of the Bucher family, I believe.
Nutznießer are beneficiaries or perhaps people who profited from the deceased.
