Quite unfortunately, I don't really know what it means. I am not a German speaker :o( . I would therefore prefer English translation.
Colin Newberry Sep 2, 2005:
I guess you know well enough what it means, don't you? And you want an English translation and not a High-German one.

If you're a Tirolean you are someone, if you're not a Tirolean you're an arsehole

I can only say medium because I don't know what exactly you want to use it for.

agree Werner Hehn : I'd use bum instead of arsehole. In Tirolean dialect the word "oasch" is not as harsh and a a bum is also a nobody.

agree Lisa Davey : Tyrolean ;-). "Arsehole", "bum", "a nobody" ,"no one", depends how insulting you want to be in English (and whether you are using American or British English, etc...)

agree Rebecca Garber : with Werner. ass or bum

agree Ford Prefect : ass would be my preference - similar usage in UK and USA while bum in USA is a tramp and in UK English it sounds childish, and arsehole is too harsh.

neutral Harry Borsje : what's wrong with the literal translation 'ass' (as in donkey, of course)
