German term

Abheben

German to English Marketing Human Resources
Hi guys,

Here we have a list of job opportunities. The company is using a trendy, adventurous angle with words like "Aufbrecher", "Neuland erforschen/aufbrechen" etc. Just wondering about the sentence "Nach Neuland hebt bei uns jede Minute einer ab" (set off for?).

d. Kreativität + Kultur:
Nach Neuland hebt bei uns jede Minute einer ab.

Thanks,

Re offering elsewhere on this page:
“Unchartered” means “lacking a charter,” and is a word most people have little use for. “Uncharted” means “unmapped” or “unexplored,” so the expression meaning “to explore a new subject or area” is “enter uncharted territory.” Similarly, it’s uncharted regions, waters, and paths.

disagree Michael Martin, MA : ‘Take wing’ works only for the literal, but not the figurative meaning of abheben. Very strange that this has to be pointed out.

It was your duty to report this earlier. Unfortunately, I appear to have launched the asker into "unchartered (sic) territory".
