German term

Hamburgerin (= Pat.) aus Weimar

German to English Other Geography
I am translating a series of letters of Sigmund Freud. This is an extract of one of these letters. I'm working with a transcription, so there might be some mistakes (Freud's handwriting is hard to read):

"Meine nette **Hamburgerin (= Pat.) aus Weimar** ist vor Ostern abgereist, sie hat rührenden Abschied genommen. Es ist gar nicht ausgeschlossen, dass sie Dich noch einmal im Atelier mit ihrem reizenden schlimmen Mäderl überfällt. Ich wollte sie bei der heikeln Natur all dieser Beziehungen nicht direkt an Dich weisen. "

Discussion

Yvonne Becker (asker) May 9, 2006:
Yes, I wanted to know what pat. meant in this context.
Wenjer Leuschel (X) May 9, 2006:
I guess, Ingeborg and Richard have already answered the "whole" question. :D
Richard Benham May 9, 2006:
I agree with Ingeborg; if you want help, you need to let us know what the problem is. I would, btw, suggest "Patientin" for "Pat.".
Ingeborg Gowans (X) May 9, 2006:
what part is the problem? = Pat? Otherwise referring to a lady from Hamburg who is originally from Wei,mar? I think I am missing something here. can you throw some more light on this?

I shouldn't take the credit though, so it's not for points, but give it to Richard, please
