I am having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around this phrase in particular. It is part of a set of instructions for installing floorboards, and it is intended for a UK audience with the source in German (from Germany).
"das richtige Ineinander dreht der Profilelemente" does not make sense to me. Elemente is plural and feminine in German, but I do not see how the dative fits in here. It may be incorrect, but I wanted some second opinions.

Zur Wiederaufnahme des Bodens erst die ganze Reihe aus der Gelenkverbindung heben, dann erst die einzelnen Dielenteile nur durch waagerechtes Schieben in den Kopfverbindungen auseinander nehmen. Kopfverbindung dabei nicht anheben! Dies führt zu irreparablen Schäden.

Laminate and parquet flooring are interleaved when laid down. Not sure about the profile of said "interleaving," but there might be a type of profile created by where the edges of the flooring meet.
