extra-wide spread

This is kind of a stab, but having a "wide spread" is a common description for trees. The writer may mean the trees are "from" a class that has a very wide spread.

Amelanchier arborea. Downy Serviceberry. x. Cornus florida. Dogwood ... The trunks of large-height, wide-spread (LW) category trees shall be ...

agree Claire Cox : Yes, this would make sense - both the amelanchier and the malus are small trees with a wide spread which would be suitable for roof gardening

Thanks, Claire.
neutral Cetacea : You are right, "having a wide spread" is a common qualifier, but wouldn't you rather use "mit" in German if this were the meaning?

Yes, you may be right. It would be an odd way of expressing it.
neutral Zarina : Abstand has not the same meaning as Stand.

extra wide original (plant) spacing

These trees are grown very widely spaced to make them especially strong and symmetrical (see my reference for "solitary trees"), hence the "*aus* extra weitem Stand", meaning from extra widely spaced planting/cultivation. Of course, such trees are more expensive because growing them takes up more space.
