German term

Dachstand

German to English Tech/Engineering Architecture
I know "Dachüberstand" but I haven't come across this before. Appears in a brochure for summerhouses, sheds, log cabins, etc.

listed alongside:
"Wandhöhe", "Firsthöhe", etc. but otherwise there is little context.

My guess is that this is referring to the plan dimensions of the roof including the overhang. Would this be accurate?

Many thanks again in advance

...as far as I know it's Germany but it could be Austria or Switzerland I guess? I'll try to find out.
David Moore (X) Mar 7, 2006:
Hi, kenbe; do you know the country in which this catalogue is published?
Kenneth Beattie (asker) Mar 7, 2006:
I'll ask about this but I'm not too hopeful about getting an answer. An explanation from the author would be helpful.

Is there no way to contact the author of the text?

projected / horizontal roof dimensions

judging from this website http://www.drjeschke.de/sauna/index.html?lang=de&target=d47.... I'd say these are the projected dimensions aka horizontal dimensions of the roof
Peer comment(s):

agree conny : from the pages, I would go for horizontal roof dimensions

Would this fit?

Comment: "Thanks for your answer - in this context though definitely not. It's a confusing word though and should probably read "Abmessung inkl. Dachüberstand" or something similar... whatever the case, the customer agreed that's what it was"
