Hello everyone,
I'm having doubts translating Entry Descriptions for a Tennis Championship.
If you can help me by looking and letting me know your thoughts on the other items as well I appreciate it.
Entry Description:
- Direct Acceptance (DA) - Aceitação Direta
- Qualifiers (Q) - I'm not very sure of this one either if you can help me great.
- Wild Cards (WC) - Convites
- Lucky Looses (LL) - Perdedores Sortudos?
- Alternates & On Site Alternates (A)
- Special Excempts (SE) - Exceções Especiais?
- 16 & under Junior Exempt - Exceção para juniores de 16 e menos
Description of Alternates: they are players who are not accepted into the main draw and/or qualifiers. Should a player withdraw from the main draw before the start of the qualifying tournament, a player from the qualifying acceptance list will take his / her spot and an alternate will then be accepted into qualifying.
Thanks in advance.
Carol

There are lots of injuries before and during tennis tournaments so you need some alternate players to replace people that get hurt. These are called alternates (in Portuguese: substitutos). Lucky-losers are also "substitutos" with the difference that they were already playing the tournament and lost. They get lucky when someone gets hurt and they come back to the tournament as "substitutos". Check wikipedia for the term. You can leave it in English with a short explanation like this: lucky loser (substituto).

Thanks,
