I haunt flea markets, antique stores, and souvenir shops to find odd and interesting props.
I store them away until I can incorporate one into the perfect shot.
I owned the optometrist’s lens kit for two or three years before the right project came along.
In the studio we were not working from a layout or predetermined sketch.
The whole idea sprang from an original concept we developed.
The different elements got pushed around a lot before this still life came together.
