English term

a bury of rabbits

English to Portuguese Social Sciences Livestock / Animal Husbandry
Is there any coollective noun for rabbits in Portuguese, or is it just a 'grupo de coelhos"?

Discussion

Douglas Bissell (asker) Jan 7, 2015:
Good question and perfectly understandable, but no, I do mean a bury of rabbits, which is the English collective noun like manada de gado ou vara de porcos ou resma de fiscais de parqueamento :-)
Andrew Bramhall Jan 7, 2015:
A "BURY" of rabbits??? Do you mean a burrow? (uma toca de coelho)

uma ninhada de coelhos

Diria assim em PT(pt)...
Peer comment(s):

agree Mario Freitas : Apesar de ninhada ser mais comum para filhotes, não há um coletivo específico para coelhos e ninhada seria o coletivo adequado para roedores, portanto tnes meu "agree"
