English term

Power output

English to Italian Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng radio
Power output (USB Type A): 1 A

Confermate?

Is there a translation for the term in the link you cited?

If you search in Internet, you'll find occurences for "uscita di potenza USB" followed only by the indication of A!

This is just one:
Caricabatteria USB o porta con uscita di potenza 1 A o 2A (consigliata) Smartphone compatibile con ricarica wireless Qi
https://www.expertonline.it/it-IT-it/YUDO-WRLS-CHRG-CAR-HOLD...

Claudia Sorcini May 4, 2021:
I think that the unit of measurement used says everything.
A = current = intensità di corrente
V = voltage = tensione

Pls have a look here (pag 188) https://www.oecd.org/officialdocuments/publicdisplaydocument...
adotranslati (X) May 3, 2021:
Of course, uscita di corrente and fuoriuscita/perdita/uscita di corrente are two quite different things, that was meant only to avoid possible misunderstanding in Italian, but uscita di corrente, as said and I confirm it too, is fully correct!

In this case, uscita di corrente dalla porta USB Tipo A, which is immediately mentioned after it between parenthesis.

Presa di corrente, I'd rather say in a technical description:
Presa di corrente/alimentazione (USB Tipo A): 1 A

See for example link below:

Or, even better, uscita di potenza:

Daniela Gabrietti (asker) May 3, 2021:
I agree with Claudia that "corrente in uscita" is not the same as "perdita di corrente", but my doubt regards exactly the fact that it says "power output" and not "output power" in the source text.
Claudia Sorcini May 3, 2021:
"corrente in uscita" doesn't correspond at all with "perdita di corrente"

adotranslati (X) May 3, 2021:
It says power output and not output power in the source text, that is output follows power, so how could it be '(intensità/amperaggio) della corrente in uscita' as you suggested?
The asker said in fact "uscita di corrente", but although 100% technically correct, this translation might let people think of a perdita di corrente
Claudia Sorcini May 3, 2021:
As far as I understand and know, this device acts as a power bank, whose standard voltage is 5 V, then only the intensity of current in Ampere needs to be specified.
http://blog.maledettabatteria.it/component/k2/corrente-uscit...
adotranslati (X) May 3, 2021:
In this case we have information only about A, but "corrente" is always formed by V (tensione di corrente) + A (intensità di corrente), so even though we have no information about V there must be one, for low it might even be!
Being an output for charging a battery pack, it should convey both, V and A, from here the choice of uscita di alimentazione, as far as I can see the reference is to the output of a USB port.

Uscita di alimentazione (di corrente), if you like.
Claudia Sorcini May 3, 2021:
in this case we only have "A" as a unit of measurement, that means that only information about the intensity of corrent is provided, no information about voltage
adotranslati (X) May 3, 2021:
Although corrente may be translated with power, its proper term of translation would be current, and is measured in Ampere.
Power means properly tensione, and is measured in Volt.

neutral adotranslati (X) : Could anyone please explain me the choice of this translation, since the source text says power output and not viceversa, and considered that A is a unit of measure for potenza/power, too, thanks

Although here 'corrente' is meant, V and A are always tight together!

neutral Claudia Sorcini : Sorry, what do you mean? V is to measure voltage, A to measure current

Corrente: 1 A; but power (source text) can be used both with reference to V and A. Indeed, as far as I can understand, such an output can be used to charge a battery pack, only with Ampère?
