Actually, I only now took a peek at the asker's profile - and am doubtful as to whether this question is in the correct language pair (??)
invguy Apr 19, 2007:
Tangra: since the asker is doing a literary translation into Bulgarian, s/he should presumably be able to understand my note.
Yavor Dimitrov Apr 18, 2007:
To: invguy invguy, appreciate your note but I don't believe the asker got it as he/she obviously is not a Bulgarian speaker.

Ето оригинала (най-горното стихотворение): http://www.los-poetas.com/a/mach1.htm

Имайки предвид отговора на Tangra, може би ще е полезно да се обърнете към колеги, превеждащи от испански. Без претенции да разбирам този език, струва ми се, че в английския превод са се изгубили някои нюанси, които биха могли да не се губят в българския.

Страннико, всуе се луташ! Ти път не ще намериш!

It reminds me of a vers by Goethe.... The jamb suits to poetry :)

neutral Ivan Klyunchev : Според мен това не е превод на изходния текст, а съвсем нов стих. Аз лично считам, че поезия не може да се превежда, а се преразказва със средствата на целевия език.

Прав сте, спор няма! За второто Ваше изречение - "да разлайваме кучетата, или !?"

Страннико, няма път

This is the most straightforward translation. There is so much without any context.

Страннико, ти пътя ще намериш, когато го извървиш.

As a matter of fact, this is only part of a popular quote made by Antonio Machado, a Spanish poet and one of the leading figures of the Spanish literary movement known as the Generation of '98.

The whole piece goes "Walker, there is no path. The path is made by walking.", the latter sentence playing an important role to both the general meaning and 'message' of the quote.

I don't mean to argue or something but probably because of the little context the asker has provided, the other two Bulgarian translations posted here, if translated again into English, would read "Walker, you will never find a/the path."

With the second sentence added to the one in question, the meaning changes a lot. The idea of the quote is that practically, there IS a path but it should be made by walking.

Below is the whole quotation:
"Wanderer, your footsteps are the road, and nothing more; wanderer, there is no road, the road is made by walking. By walking one makes the road, and upon glancing behind one sees the path that never will be trod again. Wanderer, there is no road-- Only wakes upon the sea."

Скитнико, няма път

Следата ти е пътека
и нищо повече.
Скитнико, няма път,
създаваш го
докато скиташ.
Пред теб е пътеката
създавана от твоите стъпки;
зад теб – пътека по която
никой няма да мине пак.
Няма път, скитнико,
само плахи вълни
във водата.
