I've now had a look at the website of the university concerned. Parts of it are in English, but I haven't found the finer detail of this hierarchy of terms. I'll probably go for 'specialisation' in the end. As for MSP, it may well mean SMEs, but what I now find is that the above abbreviations, the whole set of them, are retained in the English parts of the website.

'specialisation' is good in fact, I was using it provisionally, but I was still worrying about the meaning of 'St.' - I suppose it should be obvious, but I hadn't realised it's simply 'studijní'. Thanks for this key point, answerers!

Yes, that's not bad at all (as long as it makes sense in the hierarchy; I presume study programme is something broad like Ekonomika a podnikání).

And what about "specialization"? I know it is a bit misleading but in some context it may be helpful and perhaps more fitting than anything else.

To give you a better idea of the context: MSP is one of a set of abbreviations that appear in the listed items under 'Název'. The others are F, MOS, POS, CRHL. I'll ask them as separate questions later, if I'm still stuck.

Use "field of study", then. "Study stream" is not very common, is it?

Thank you. 'SMEs' is in line with the students' main areas of study, which are business, economics etc.
I'm already using 'study programme' for 'studijní program'. 'Study stream' is a term I have just reminded myself of -equivalent to 'studijní zaměření'?.

Thanks. You'd have to see the whole document, to see how many terms I have to distinguish! There's obor, studijní program, and so on. So I'm not really expecting anyone to arrive at the perfect term without knowing the entire context, i.e. how all the terms work in relation to each other.
