Danke, thanks and gracias ! 'to get in' an estate -> In UK Primary School English lessons, we had to give alternatives to the verb 'to get' though - in this case - 'get in' for collect or gather in is of long-standing (= 400 years) English legal pedigree,

What should be included in the inventory?
The Inventory of Estate is a list of all the property, assets, money and income owned or due to the deceased and any expenditure and debts due by the deceased at the date of death.
The Inventory of Estate shows the extent of the estate, and this allows Confirmation to be issued, which then allows the executor to ingather the property, assets and money and to pay the debts of the estate.
The executor needs to make diligent and reasonable enquiries about the extent of the property, assets and money owned by the deceased.

"Collect in" means here that the executor of the estate has to receive all the information regarding the entire assets and debts of a estate and then calculate what is due and what is left over.

Wenn ich das richtig sehe, geht es also sowohl um die Inbesitznahme der Erbmasse - als auch um die Wertermittlung und und Vorbereitung zur Überlassung an die Erben (wie das in dem Fall Universalerben, also Alleinerben, sein sollen, sehe ich allerdings nicht).

Der Hinweis auf "assets" in dem Zshg. ist deshalb wichtig, weil man den angefragten Prozess nämlich bei Suche nach "collect" + "assets" schnell findet:
