The recent treatment recommendations for the management of PsA published in 2016 by international organisations - the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) and the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA) provide clinicians with evidence-based advice and strategies to reach optimal outcomes for the treatment of patients with PsA.
The algorithms share a number of common recommendations, but there are differences between these 2 sets of recommendations, in particular the focus on peripheral arthritis with different treatment paradigms for enthesitis and *axial disease* according to EULAR guidelines compared with a balanced focus on multiple rheumatological and dermatological aspects per the GRAPPA guidelines.
