MERod (asker) Jun 5, 2022:

@Asker Your question, as presented, makes little sense. If it is a certificado de nacimiento inglés, it cannot include an “NHS Number”, because the statutory provisions governing the registration of births in England and Wales do not include this data (see: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1968/2049/made ).

AFAIK, birth certificates delivered by the authorities in Scotland and Northern Ireland do not include an NHS number either.

Or perhaps by certificado de nacimiento inglés you are indicating only that it is in the English language – maybe it was issued somewhere other than the UK? If so, where?

I suspect it might in fact be a ‘medical certificate of (live) birth’, delivered by the hospital or clinic where the child was born. In that case, an NHS number might be included (that of the mother, most likely). And ‘YKG’ might be something specific to the hospital or local/regional health authority.

Also:
– Is ‘YKG’ a field label on the pre-printed form (followed by some text relating to this specific birth)? If so, what is the content of that field?
– Or is ‘YKG’ a field that has been filled in at the time of birth? If so, how is this field labelled?

YKG

Peer comment(s):

Exacto; lo he visto varias veces. Gracias y saludos, abe(L).
disagree Jennifer Levey : That's often the explanation, but not in this case.
